Known for his ability to lead innovation at scale, Modesto has directed transformative growth and operations strategies in both emerging and mature markets throughout the U.S. and internationally—including China, Japan, South America and the Middle East.

As a senior leader at NBCUniversal, he played a pivotal role in the global expansion of Universal Destinations and Experiences. His leadership shaped the $1B global food, beverage, and retail landscape of major destinations including Universal Beijing, Osaka, Hollywood, and the newly opened Universal Epic Universe in Orlando. He led concept development, tenant strategy, leasing models, and guest experience innovation across both owned and partnered brands.

Prior to his tenure at Universal, Modesto held C-suite and executive roles at Brickhouse Tavern+Tap, Don Pablo’s, Buca di Beppo, and Copeland’s, where he drove turnarounds, rebranding initiatives, and rapid concept scaling. He has opened hundreds of new restaurant and retail units, led multimillion-dollar redevelopment projects, and created brand platforms that continue to shape the guest experience today.
